Diversity & inclusion

COMMITTED TO DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

We are convinced that diversity is a source of economic and social performance.

To fulfill our ambition of being a responsible and inclusive company, we have established a Mission Handicap. The teams support every employee affected by disability, whether they work in stores, in our offices, or in a logistics center. All our brands join efforts to create an environment where everyone can thrive. Our approach is structured around three main objectives:
  • Recruit and integrate more people with disabilities
  • Retain employees affected by disability
  • Raise awareness among all our employees

SIGNING OF A DISABILITY AGREEMENT

At the end of 2023, we signed the first Group Disability Agreement, approved by the government for the period 2024-2026. This agreement sets out the framework for our actions and aims to make our companies more inclusive by structuring our approach to equal opportunities.

Our goal for 2026 is to achieve an employment rate of 4%. We already exceeded this target in 2024 with 4.24%, but our commitment does not stop there. It is part of a long-term approach to promoting diversity and equal opportunities.

The four main areas of focus in the agreement are:

  • Inform and raise awareness
  • Recruit and integrate
  • Retain employees
  • Develop our inclusive purchasing practices

RETAINING EMPLOYMENT

We are committed to keeping employees with disabilities in employment. Our commitment leads us to devise the most appropriate measures to improve and facilitate their daily lives (provision of adapted equipment, skills assessments, training funding, etc.).

“I was the victim of a serious fall from a horse: if it had been a few millimeters closer, I could have ended up in a wheelchair. Since then, I have suffered from chronic neck pain. It’s a disability that isn’t visible, but it makes everyday life at work really difficult, especially since I often have to carry packages. While I was off work, I started to prepare an application for recognition as a disabled worker, but I gave up because it’s a really complicated and time-consuming process. I spoke to my regional director about it, and she referred me to the Group’s Disability and Inclusion Mission. They were a great support and helped me find solutions to adapt my job so that I could also free up time for my medical care. It’s a real relief for me,” says one of the Group’s employees.

RECRUIT WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION

More than 110 people from our HR teams and managers are trained in inclusive recruitment and fair integration. The training aims to master the principles of inclusive recruitment, identify and manage the impact of biases and stereotypes on recruitment practices, and finally, adapt one’s attitude and practices in terms of inclusion.

This training:

  • Raises awareness and equips our employees with the tools they need to address issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Enables us to question our practices and develop our standards
