CHANGE FOR GOOD

OUR GLOBAL CORPORATE PROJECT

Reinventing a more efficient, more responsible business model,.

In 2018, accompanied by CSR experts, we launched the “Change For Good” project to accelerate and structure our initiatives for more sustainable development of our activities. In 2020, the Group implemented a structured approach, with Change For Good as a common corporate project for all brands. Our challenge is to transform ourselves fundamentally to meet the expectations of all our stakeholder.

Transformation and innovation have always been part of the Eram Group’s history and are firmly rooted in its DNA. Since the beginning of the industrial adventure in 1927, the Group has undergone profound changes. Over time and in the face of the upheavals of history and the global economy, the company has had to adapt in order to continue to develop, while respecting the human values to which it is deeply attached.

CHAIRE IMPACT POSITIF AT AUDENCIA

For the last then years, the Eram Group has been a partner in the Chaire Impact Positif  project, led by the Nantes-based business school Audencia.

This partnership is part of a sustainable development approach that is part of our overall corporate project. With Chaire Impact Positif, the Group joins a network of teacher-researchers, students and companies.

This network provides a view of business transformation and of social and environmental issues to make them levers of innovation and performance.

CHAIRE BALI

Chaire Bali (Biarritz Active Lifestyle Industry) is a programme of education and research into future technological innovations in the fashion industry, led by Estia (An institute specialising in advanced industrial technologies). Chaire Bali aims to become an information and research centre looking at the technological disruptions of the future for fashion companies.

In order to deal with the necessary changes in this sector, the Eram Group is conducting a study alongside five other key players in the fashion industry (Belharra, Patatam, Petit Bateau, Ceti and Decathlon), to contribute to the development of a sustainable French textile sector. Innovative work based on new economic models is underway focussing on recycling, circularity, traceability and on-demand manufacturing.

DESIGN FACTORY

The Design Factory Nantes is an innovation programme offered by Nantes Université at L’École de design de Nantes Atlantique, to respond to a business problem through the prism of uses, from idea to prototype. The programme aims to reduce the boundary between the academic and business worlds by creating an intermediary place where students work on professional projects in an operational and independent manner, combining engineering, design and digital cultures.

For its second edition, the Design Factory Nantes joined forces with Gémo to consider how to improve the customer experience in the footwear departments in our stores. After an immersive visit in a Gémo store in September 2021, a team of 6 students worked for 4 months on a prototyping phase as part of an interdisciplinary workshop at ManufacturingLab à Nantes.

FASHION PACT

In 2019, the Eram Group joined Fashion Pact.

For the first time in the fashion and textile sector, Fashion Pact brings together the leaders of more than 60 global companies (ready-to-wear, sports, lifestyle and luxury, as well as suppliers and distributors), all committed to major environmental objectives centred around three themes:

  • stopping global warming
  • restoring biodiversity
  • protecting the oceans
